B Meson Light-cone Distribution Amplitudes and Heavy-quark Symmetry∗
Recently systematic methods based on the QCD factorization have been developed for the exclusive B meson decays into light mesons (for other approaches see). Essential ingredients in this approach are the light-cone distribution amplitudes for the participating mesons, which constitute nonperturbative long-distance contribution to the factorized amplitudes. For the light mesons (π, K, ρ, K, etc...
متن کاملQuark-lepton unification and rare meson decays.
We study meson decays mediated by the heavy gauge bosons of the Pati-Salam model of quark-lepton unification. We consider the scenarios in which the τ lepton is associated with the third, second, and first generation of quarks. The most sensitive probes, depending on the scenario, are rare K, π, and B decays.
متن کاملRADIATIVE WEAK DECAYS OF B c MESON IN LIGHT CONE QCD
We investigate the radiative B c → ρ + γ and B c → K * + γ decays in the standard model. The transition form factors are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules method. We estimate the branching ratios of the B c → ρ + γ and B c → K * + γ decays.
متن کاملRare B meson decays at the Tevatron
Rare B meson decays are an excellent probe for beyond the Standard Model physics. Two very sensitive processes are the B s,d → μ+μ− and b→ sμ+μ− decays. We report recent results at a center of mass energy of √ s = 1.96 TeV from the CDF II and D0 collaborations using between 3.7 fb−1 and 6.9 fb−1 taken during Run II of the Fermilab Tevatron Collider.
متن کاملMeson Decays In A Quark Model
A recent model of hadron states is extended to include meson decays. We find that the overall success of the model is quite good. Possible improvements to the model are suggested.
